During the Covid-19 pandemic, IINREM trained and upskilled 150 women in Sarsawa, Nagal and Balliakhedi blocks in district Saharanpur. They made over 8000 cotton masks for free distribution in Mathura, Agra and Aligarh. The project was sponsored by Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission. The women received a Certification of Skills by Apparel Sector Skill Council.
Similarly, IINREM also engaged 10 women tailoring enterprises in Ajay Nagar Mathura to make cotton cloth masks for free distribution in Mathura, Agra and Aligarh. These women were trained by IINREM through CSR support from Fusion Microfinance.
Our sustainable horticulture and floriculture project was initiated in 1995 and funded by the Government of the United Kingdom. With partnership from Plantiss Agrotech Private Limited, Uttarakhand, led by Drs. Akhilesh and Anjali Tyagi, we helped hill farmers modernize agricultural practices in the delicate Himalayan ecosystem and reduce their dependence on forest resources, which leads to their depletion. Activities under this project include the use of cutting edge tissue culture technology, rain-water harvesting tanks, drip-irrigation and poly-houses for horticulture and floriculture. 75 subsistence farmers, primarily women farmers in Almora district were able to supplement their income by producing and selling off-season vegetables and flowers in local markets.

IINREM conducted its first “Job Oriented Training Program”, with the objective to enable Indian youth to secure better livelihoods, with the support of GNIDA and trained rural youth of Greater Noida area in plumbing, carpentry and masonry in 2006.
Similar trainings were done for the Government of Uttar Pradesh Rural Development Department under the “Swarn Jayanti Grameen Swarozgar Yojana” in various districts of Uttar Pradesh wherein unemployed youth were trained in job-oriented short duration courses.
Subsequently, IINREM has conducted training under several State and Central Government Sponsored schemes such as AAJEEVIKA SKILLS, SEEKHO AUR KAMAO, FREE COACHING, SJSRY, UPSDM, DDU-GKY, PMKVY, STAR, PMKVY-CSSM. These schemes are sponsored by the Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Ministry of Entrepreneurship, State of Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Rajasthan and NCT of Delhi.
To date, we have trained over 10,000 youth in Retail, IT/ ITeS, Apparel, Logistics, Hospitality, Security and Healthcare Sectors across Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttrakhand, Assam, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab.
E4E, in partnership with Development Alternatives, promotes entrepreneurship by building knowledge of underserved youth and women and directly providing technical, financial, marketing and capacity building support for them to set up enterprises.
In this project, we launched 200 enterprises and created more than 400 new jobs for the poor and vulnerable persons in the Palwal and Gautam Budh Nagar districts in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh encompassing NCR Region. Twenty of these were women-led enterprises.
We helped generate community awareness and interest through interactive games and infotainment campaigns, working together with community influencers and key stakeholders. We created networks of stakeholders and trained people on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, GYB and EDP Training and established key linkages for finance, marketing and technology. We also built an ongoing network of users on digital platforms and continue to provide support to the entrepreneurs.
E4E is supported by HSBC and implemented by Development Alternatives. IINREM was engaged as implementation agency by DA grassroots level interventions.
IINREM is working with over 1000 artisans in the Nautical Artifacts Cluster at Roorkee in Haridwar District in Uttarakhand. These artisans have raised the value of their handmade nautical artifacts and have maximized their incomes with the help of our Design Development Workshops, our Product Development Workshops and support with Technology, Market Linkages and Financial Management. the incomes of these artisans.
IINREM has set up a state-of-the-art Common Facility for the processing and value addition of handmade nautical artifacts to create jobs and boost the local economy of the cluster. The Common facility will serve the artisans through a special purpose vehicle - M/s Roorkee Metallica Cluster Development Society. We have partnered with Younite Marketing Aggregators Pvt Limited, an aggregator that markets products of artisan clusters. This is a Ministry of MSME supported project under SFURTI Scheme.
Our flagship project was the establishment of the Mahila Bunkar Sahakari Samiti ltd. in 1991, benefiting over 250 women. IINREM helped the women of Surajpur by training them in the production of handloom products such as rugs and table-linens. We trained them in adopting new technology, designs and taught them critical marketing and financial management skills. We partnered with Fabindia, Dastkar and Central Cottage Industries Emporium, where these products were marketed and sold. We also created a state-of-the-art common facility service centre at Surajpur, Greater Noida, UP. The women created a cooperative called the Mahila Bunkar Sahakari Samiti Limited (MBSS), and became financially independent.

IINREM has helped 60 farmers improve their productivity and income through use of organic fertilizer. This project was implemented jointly with Neuglobal Upjavardhak India Limited, a startup which aims to rejuvenate the soil and increase farm productivity.
Neuglobal Upjavardhak is producing the nutrient-rich, high efficiency organic agriculture inputs BHUMISHODHAK and UPJAVARDHAK.
These organic inputs effectively rejuvenate the degraded soil, improve crop resistance, and reduce dependency on chemical fertilizers without sacrificing yield and quality of farm produce.

We work with agri-business counseling and guidance startups to provide information and guidance on availability of input and its supply, availability of farm equipment on hire and other services.
Farmers get expert advice on cropping practices, crop protection from pests & diseases, market trends, market prices of various crops and also clinical services for animal health, which enhances productivity of both crops and animals.
